The City of Norwich Fire Department’s Independence Day fireworks display is scheduled to proceed as planned. The Norwich Professional Firefighters Association Local 1404 will launch the display from the Chenango County Fairgrounds beginning at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. Entrance fee to the fairgrounds will be a cash donation, or donation of a non-perishable food item. In case of heavy rain, the fireworks will be held Wednesday evening.
