Tom Chapin returns to Music in the Park

SHERBURNE – Sherburne Rotary Club invites you to attend a free concert at Gaines Park in Sherburne on Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tom Chapin will perform with Jon Cobert and Michael Mark. They will bring a wide array of musical instruments and fill the stage and the park with music. His music is described as contemporary folk and appeals to all ages. Usually he performs one set directed toward children and another set directed toward adults, however most everyone will want to hear all the music. His family albums have received many awards including five Grammy nominations for Best Musical Album for Children. Come to experience remarkable musicianship, great song writing and personal warmth.
This concert is partially supported by Chenango County Council of the Arts, as well as Sherburne Big M, Gilligan’s Island and Rea-D-Pack. The concert series is supported with the generous support of the community, enabling Sherburne Rotary to bring music to our park. Should there be a downpour, the concert will be relocated to Sherburne Earlville School Auditorium.
Music in the Park will be held each Wednesday evening until August 16th. Sherburne Rotary Club will have food for sale, and 50/50 raffle tickets will be sold, with half of the proceeds from the raffle going to the Sherburne Food Pantry. Bring your own chair and blanket and whatever else you need for a summer evening in the park.
