New chiropractor hangs shingle in Norwich
NORWICH – A new chiropractic practice is open for business in downtown Norwich. Dr. Scott Sutton will be opening the doors of Broad Street Chiropractic to the public with a grand opening celebration set for noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Originally from Norwich, Dr. Sutton spent seven years working at a practice in Boston. “ I’ve learned and experienced everything that’s out there,” said Dr. Sutton. Before running his own successful business in Boston, he attended the New York Chiropractic College in Seneca.
Sutton has already began offering his services, although his office at 89 North Broad St. is still in the final stages of being completed. “ People are beating down the doors,” he said. “There is a lot of demand.”
This Saturday, Dr. Sutton wants to invite everyone to come down to the practice, located just a few houses north of the Cortland Street intersection. Norwich Mayor Joseph Maiurano and officials from the Chenango County Chamber of Commerce will be conducting a ribbon cutting ceremony on the front steps of the new business with a large grand opening banner above. “There will be popcorn and cotton candy,” said Sutton. “ Also there will be door prizes donated by other local businesses.”
“We have received a lot of support from the community,” the chiropractor said. Sutton, his wife and two children returned to Norwich looking to find a place amidst a small yet close community. “All the patients I worked on (in Boston) improved well, but I didn’t know any of them. It’s good to be with friends and family,” he said.
