NORWICH – Town of Norwich Supervisor David Law issued a 30-day eviction notice to the last residents currently living in the City View Trailer Park on Crandall Street.

In April of 2005, park owners Steven and Karen Key were told by Supreme Court Justice Kevin M. Dowd to immediately evict the occupants all eight residences in the park. The park’s residences were hooked up to two septic systems that were not functioning properly. There was an ongoing leakage problem that made living arrangements undesirable and unsanitary for residents of the park and others nearby.

The problems regarding the park caused damage to the drinking water and vegetation. In 2005, all residents were given 30 days to move from the park for their own health and welfare. The Public Health Department stepped in to enforce the residents’ removal in April.
