Search still on for suspects in armed break-in

SHERBURNE – Police say at least one of the two men they’re searchign for in connection with a Sherburne home invasion was armed with a “long gun” firearm. The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men wanted for breaking into a residence on State Hwy. 12 B in the Town of Sherburne and assaulting a woman inside. The attack happened Monday around 11:30 p.m. when two suspects entered the home through physical force.

The suspects stole an unknown amount of cash. The woman was taken to Hamilton Hospital for cuts to her head and facial bruising; she was later released.

The men are described as follows: The first suspect is a white male, approximately 30 years of age, 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a stocky build. He has dark hair and was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap.
