March does indeed come in like a lion

CHENANGO COUNTY – Monday night, temperatures fell to the minus 25 degree mark in the Chenango County area. Many schools and other public services were delayed Tuesday morning due to the combination of snow, wind and bitter temperatures.

The National Weather Service released a wind chill warning last night at around 10:30 p.m. and will continue the advisory until 6 tonight. The report warns of wind chill temperatures possibly dipping as low as 30 degrees below zero throughout the day.

“Some of the coldest air of this winter season is entering the region,” according to the National Weather Service.
