Two car accidents early this morning lead to injuries
NORWICH – Throughout the night, a small amount of snow fell and black ice accumulated leaving road conditions slippery and wet this morning. Two main roads experienced delays with accidents occurring well before 8 a.m.
An accident involving two vehicles took place in the town of Norwich just above the North Plaza on state Rte. 12. Flares were set out and traffic was held up for approximately an hour. One of the vehicles was left at the scene and both drivers endured personal injury, as did two other passengers. The injured were transported to Chenango Memorial Hospital by the Norwich Fire Department. The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the incident.
At about 7:30 this morning, a tan Chevy Trail Blazer went off the road and struck a steep embankment, flipping the vehicle upside down and spinning so that is was facing in the opposite direction.
