Crouch announces member item awards

ALBANY - Assemblyman Cliff Crouch, R-Guilford, yesterday announced the list of local organizations in his district that will receive member item money allocated in the newly enacted state budget.
Opportunities for Chenango, Inc. was awarded $20,000 for its well replacement program. The amount was the largest distributed of the 21 organizations listed. Also in Chenango County, the town of Oxford received $5,000 for equipment and the village of Oxford received $3,000 for equipment.
"Improving the quality of life by bringing back resources to my district is one of the responsibilities of my job and I look forward to continuing to do so," Crouch said in a press release issued late Thursday.
Among others, the Delaware Valley Hospital received $10,000 for a boiler in the facility’s ambulatory surgery and services department, the Girl Scouts Indian Hills Council, Inc. received $6,000 for its Thirteenth Moon Program and the Town of Conklin received $6,000 for purchasing defibrillators.
