COOPERSTOWN – Sherburne-Earlville dropped its third one-run game in as many starts this season Monday at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown.

The Redskins answered S-E’s three-run fourth with three more runs in the fifth inning. Frank Petroskey and Luke Banner hit back-to-back doubles to score the go-ahead run. “We’re hitting the ball, but we’re not getting timely hits,” said S-E coach Brian Hicks. “We’re a young team and that will come. We’ve played a couple of good teams so far, and we hope to get back on track later this week.”
