Monday Evening Musical Club presents final spring program

NORWICH – The Monday Evening Musical Club presents its final spring program with Michael Moore, organist, in concert on Monday, June 4 at the United Church of Christ, 11 West Main Street in Norwich.

Originally from northern Virginia, Moore and his wife, Karen, moved to Holmesville three years ago. He is the organist at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Utica, and in addition does gospel concert-hymn sings wherever he is invited, taking an Allen theatre organ with him. He studied music at Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Va. and has served as organist and choir director in churches of several denominations. He has concertized up and down the East Coast.

Moore’s program includes a variety of styles from classics to light hearted contemporary. Many composers will be represented from the organ virtuosos such as Flor Peeters and JS Bach to Arthur Sullivan and Charles Ives.
