Emerson to head CMH board

NORWICH – J. Peter Chaplin, a long time member of Chenango Memorial Hospital’s Board of Trustees and great supporter of the hospital, has retired from the board as both Board Chairman and Trustee after having served as Trustee a total of over 17 years. Local attorney Thomas Emerson, Esq., a Board of Trustees member since 2001, has been elected the new Board Chairman. Emerson thanked Chaplin for his leadership, board service, and continuing support of Chenango Memorial. He noted that Chaplin was a member of the Board from 1988-1996 and from 1998-2007, serving as Board Chairman from 1992-1996 and from 2002-2007. The hospital’s administration noted that Chenango Memorial has benefitted greatly from Chaplin’s leadership and guidance and expressed their deep appreciation for all he has done for the hospital and community.
