Norwich’s Shana Jaycox crowned Mrs. New York

NORWICH – Shana Jaycox was crowned Mrs. New York America 2007 recently at the annual Mrs. New York America Pageant in the Rochester suburb of Henrietta.
Jaycox, 35, became the 31st married woman to earn the title after competitions in interview, evening gown and swimwear. Jaycox is founder and CEO of ADS Creative Consulting Services, LLC. She lives in Norwich with her husband William, one son and two daughters.
Jaycox will represent New York State’s married women at the Mrs. America Pageant in Tucson, Arizona this September – and make appearances statewide throughout her reign representing married women and her platform of Eating Disorders and Self Esteem.
The Mrs. America Pageant system is the very first of its kind in the country that recognizes and celebrates our nation’s greatest resource – married women.  It is the only pageant for married women to be televised on the national and world levels.  The Mrs. America Pageant will air nationally on the WE (Women’s Entertainment) Television Network.
The following women were selected as top-five finalists:
• Jennifer Stehlar of Buffalo
• Heather Simco of Hyde Park
• Elisabeth Zamarelli of Stony Brook
• Maureen Zembiec of Rochester
