BID’s music series begins Wednesday
NORWICH – For several years the Business Improvement District has been providing lunch hour excitement with their Lunch in the Park music series. This year the series is back with a new name and a great line-up that will hopefully bring people out on their lunch hour.
“Lunch Live!” will begin on Wednesday, July 18. The concert series, which is free and open to the public, kicks off with local performer Tom Rasley. According to BID Executive Director Pegi LoPresti, Rasley sings and plays guitar. “He’s a local favorite everyone always enjoys,” she said.
The Wednesday concert series continues on July 25 with Pamme Swan, a performer originating from Earlville. Swan mixes classic music with a few original songs. She has performed at countless locations across central New York and Pennsylvania for the past two decades.
August 1 a musical group called The Tweedlers will be on hand. The old time trio consists of Eric Lipper on guitar and vocals, Russ Bellair on mandolin and vocals and Jonathan Scozia on bass and vocals. “They’re a fun group,” LoPresti said, explaining that the band performed last year, but because of the hot and muggy weather, the turn out was lower than expected. “We decided to bring them back for this year, and hopefully it won’t be too hot,” she said.
