Greene’s Beckwith earns All-American status
FARGO, ND – Tyler Beckwith, a sophomore at Greene High school, earned All-America honors Sunday in Cadet Greco-Roman competition at the Cadet National Championships wrestling tournament last week.
Beckwith placed eighth at 160 after losing to Mark Myers of Indiana in the 160-pound seventh-place match, 0-7, 6-0, 4-4. Beckwith also earned All-America honors in the Cadet Freestyle competition. The designation goes to the top eight wrestlers in each class Beckwith beat Noan Budi of Wisconsin, 4-0, 6-0 to finish seventh in the 160-pound freestyle competition.
As a freshman, Beckwith earned his first Section IV wrestling championship en route to a state place finish.
