OXFORD – The 1952 graduating class of Oxford Academy and Central School celebrated its 55th reunion on Friday, July 27. Sixteen classmates and 10 spouses convened for an evening of food, fun and good sharing at 6 p.m. at Baron’s Inn in Greene. Out of state guests flew in from Florida and California. All enjoyed the 3-layer cake, which was decorated in class colors of blue and gold, with the school logo, the Class emblem of yellow roses, and the class motto of “I seek the highest.” The cake was especially made by Lydia Jane Arias. Some classmates later met at the Alumni Mixer at the Oxford American Legion. Saturday, July 28, class members continued their reminiscing at the Oxford Historical Display set up at the Railroad Depot and stopped at the Clachan Coffee House for some of its Espresso-based and brewed coffees.
