SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville overcame a stunning and unexpected beginning to win for the seventh time in nine matches this season.
Mt. Markham tallied just 2:55 into the game setting the Marauders on their heels. Karli Harris would tied the game with just 31 seconds left in the first half, and that score stood up until the final 90 seconds of overtime. Harris had her second goal of the game getting a feed from Courtney Kurtz. “We didn’t play as well as we needed to from the beginning, but we fixed it,” said S-E coach Sheila Cooman. “It doesn’t show in the score, but we really dominated.”
S-E hosts Hamilton today.

“It was a closer game than the score indicates, we just did a better job taking advantage of our scoring opportunities,” said OV coach Dave Loomis.

The Crimson Knights placed first and third in the 200 medley relay, then followed that up with a first and third in the 200 freestyle. “We popped that opening relay at the start and had a six-point lead when I thought we might have been behind by six,” said A/B-G/O coach Kevin Diefenbacher.
Hannah Westfall won two individual events and narrowly missed breaking her own mark in the 200 individual medley timing a 2:37.64.

WINDSOR – The wins and the team records continue to pile up for the Trojans, who won their seventeenth straight meet overall and set their twelfth record this season.
Lizzy Buhl captured the 200-yard freestyle in 2:07.18 to set the first mark, and Katie Crowe lowered her own record in the 100 breaststroke timing a 1:17.16. Greene won all but two events and is gearing up for meets in the next two weeks against Delhi and Norwich.
“In a meet like this, we’re able to move swimmers around and take a look at the depth in different events,” said Greene coach Mike Platta, “so when we swim Delhi and Norwich, we’re able to put the athletes in the best position to succeed.”
Greene (3-0, 6-0) hosts Sherburne-Earlville today.
