City receives $6,000 for Preserve NY Grant

NORWICH – Tonight, representatives from the Preservation League of New York State in conjunction with the State Council on the Arts will be presenting the City of Norwich with a check for $6,000.

The $6,000 will be awarded as part of the Preserve New York Grant Program, which provides support for cultural resource surveys, historic structure reports and historic landscape reports.

According to City Planning and Community Development Specialist Todd Dreyer, the city has hired a consultant, Cynthia Carrington Carter, to perform a cultural resource survey.
