Peebles opens today
NORWICH – Eager shoppers joined city and town officials this morning to celebrate the grand opening of the new Peebles department store in the Town of Norwich’s South Plaza. Cutting the ribbon are Norwich Mayor Joseph Maiurano, Commerce Chenango President Maureen Carpenter, Town of Norwich councilmen Joanna Chiarino and Milton Shepler, Peebles Store Manager Todd Meseck, Town Supervisor David Law and Peebles District Manager Alan Dattelbaum. In back, roughly 30 employees were on hand for the event. Peebles carries a variety of merchandise from jewelry to clothing for all ages and home goods. Meseck said Norwich is a perfect fit for Peebles and a warm welcome has been given by the community.
