Norwich residents open new contracting business
NORWICH – Norwich residents Robert Clipston and Nicholas Kraft announced recently they’ve started a general contracting business that specializes in kitchen and bathroom remodeling.
While KC Contracting, located on 10 Griffin St., will focus on kitchens and baths, Clipston and Kraft say they have 18 years experience combined in general contracting, and are available to take on a wide variety of work.
“I have 11 years experience contracting,” said Clipston, “ranging from masonry right through to building houses.”
“We’re open to anything,” Kraft added.
The pair added they offer free estimates, and can do custom carpentry and house painting jobs.
“We pride ourselves in our work, and we’ll do a quality job at an affordable price,” said Kraft.
When asked what set them apart from other contractors, both replied that as a small, local outfit, they won’t pass along high-overhead costs.
“That’s reflected in our price,” said Kraft.
KC Contracting is fully insured and certified to identify and remove lead-based paint. Clipston said they’re currently seeking several other OSHA certifications as well.
“This is something we always talked about doing, it was just a matter of making it happen,” said Clipston.
The pair hope to expand the operation beyond Chenango County. In the meantime, they hope to tap local commerical, residential and rental remodeling demands.
“Right now we’re just getting started,” said Kraft.
