Traffic rough in downtown Norwich today

NORWICH – Having trouble getting through the City of Norwich lately? You’re obviously not alone. And according to official word, it’s likely to get worse today.

Gorick Construction of Binghamton is assisting the city’s DPW crews manhole maintenance on North and South Broad Streets, a project that’s likely to take the better part of a month, said Police Chief Joseph Angelino Wednesday afternoon. The crews’ work naturally obstructs traffic flow on Norwich’s main thoroughfare, which has also caused bottlenecks on access roads, including Hale Street.
