Landowner’s coalition sponsors natural gas discussion

NEW BERLIN – The Central New York Landowner’s Coalition will sponsor an informative presentation about the geology and geochemistry of the Southern Tier region at 7 p.m. June 12 in the Unadilla Valley Central School auditorium in New Berlin.
Geologist Richard Nyahay will address the potential for natural gas exploration in the area. Additionally, representatives from The New York State Energy Research Development Authority and the mineral resources division of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in Albany will be available to talk to interested landowners.
