When you give blood, everyone wins. According to the American Red Cross, every blood donor can help three people. That means that when you give blood on July 8, your one donation can help save the lives of three individuals. In addition, you have the opportunity to win a gift certificate to a local business. Garry Root, Director of Chenango Memorial’s Community Relations Department, said, “Giving blood is certain to help someone in a very positive way. Every donor helps to ensure that if we, our friends, family members, and neighbors need blood, it will be available. The hospital and the Red Cross thank all donors who provide this essential health care resource.”
