GREENE – Rural land owners and interested parties are invited to a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday conducted by the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation at the Greene High School, 40 South Canal St.

This is an opportunity to learn about natural gas exploration information, state drilling laws, oversight, natural gas leasing and the possible impacts of exploration activities. The meeting is a follow up to the packed informational meeting sponsored by Chenango County Farm Bureau & The Greater Greene Chamber of Commerce on June 17.
