Thursday concert has a global flair

NORWICH – Thursday night’s free Chenango Bluesfest show brings to Norwich sounds and dancers from around the world as One World Tribe plays before the venerable courthouse beginning at 7 p.m.

The large, multi-instrumental band is known for its reggae, soul, hip-hop, funk, jazz and African pop music styles - to name a few. “They cover styles like water covers the globe,” said an Erie Times-News reporter recently.

World beat music from the late Bob Marley to Earth, Wind and Fire and George Clinton, including such legendary hits as “No Justice, No Peace” and “Money Don't Make It Right” aim to invoke a social consciousness.
