Fatal motorcycle accident in Oxford last night
OXFORD – A man died Thursday night in a motorcycle accident in the Town of Oxford.
Police have not yet released the name of the victim pending notification of the family, said Zone Sergeant Burton Reed of the New York State Troopers.
Reed confirmed that at about 9:49 p.m. Thursday, along County Rt. 35, Town of Oxford, a man was traveling south near County Route 27 and Ryan Road.
Reed said that the patrol’s accident report claimed the man lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating a curve. The bike then hit a guard rail and ejected the rider, breaking his neck, said police.
