New equipment at Weiler Park

Norwich Parks Commission members and local officials visited Weiler Park on Wednesday to see the unveiling of the new equipment recently installed. Parkitects Inc., from Lansing, New York, installed a new PlayBooster structure with a capacity for five to twelve children. The structure includes tubes, ladders, slides and hanging equipment. The City of Norwich Common Council approved $30,000 for the playground equipment upgrade. Pictured are Dr. Scott Sutton, Mayor Joseph Maiurano, Stewart Chase, Dr. Francis Hailey, and Parks Chairman Gilbert Harrington, and in front, local children, Mikayla Proskine and Savanna Wightman.
