Earlville puts out call for student artists
EARLVILLE – The Earlville Opera House West Gallery is pleased to announce an opportunity for talented youth in our community with its fourth annual TeensART 2008 Exhibit from Oct. 11- Nov. 15. Deadline for entry is Friday, Oct. 3.
Invitations have been sent to forty seven art teachers across the community in Brookfield Central School, Canastota Schools, Cazenovia Junior/Senior High School, Chittenango High School, Cincinnatus Central School, DeRuyter High School, Hamilton Junior-Senior High School, Madison Secondary School, Morrisville-Eaton High School, Mount Markham Central School, New Life Christian School, Norwich High School, Oneida High School, Otselic Valley Junior-Senior High School, Sherburne- Earlville High School, South Side Elementary School, Stockbridge Valley Central School, Sylvan-Verona Beach Central School, Unadilla Valley Middle & High School, and Waterville Middle & High School. School entry guidelines are available upon request!

The show will feature work from teens from sixth grade through seniors, in a wide range of media. A public opening reception for all participants, their guests, and Earlville Opera House members and friends, and the public will take place on Saturday, Oct. 18 from noon to 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and admission is free and open to the public. The EOH Galleries are not-for-profit exhibit space and run year-round exhibits of local, regional, and national artwork.
To drop off or pick up work, EOH Hours of operation are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and noon - 3 p.m. on Saturday. The Gallery can also be visited by appointment. The Gallery is located at 18 East Main Street in Earlville. Gallery exhibits are made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts. TeensART is funded, in part, with a grant from the NYS Office of Children and Family Services through the Madison County Youth Bureau. For more information, call (315) 691-3550.
