Foulds retiring from Pop Warner after 30 years of service
NORWICH – Stanley Foulds of Norwich recently announced that the 2008 football season will be his final one as a coach in the Norwich Pop Warner program.
Foulds started coaching for the Norwich Cyclones in 1978. Frank Mirabito, the “A” team head coach at the time, noticed Foulds watching practice and asked if he was interested in coaching. Foulds jumped at the chance and was assigned as an assistant coach for Mickey James on the “B” team. Since 1978, Stan has served in a variety of coaching positions including assistant coach on the A team, A team head coach and for the past six seasons as the B team head coach.
