‘Hillbilly Picasso’ performs in New Berlin

NEW BERLIN – For the first time in New Berlin the New Berlin Art Forum presents The Hillbilly Picaso Country Band on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Unadilla Valley Central School Cafeteria. This group of energetic musicians believes that the people are the pallet upon which they paint their music. A fun loving mix of talent and great entertainment they have been performing together for thirteen years and enjoy audience participation. “Often you can hear everyone singing along to their favorite songs and occasionally making up a few new words.”

During the evening’s festivities the original oil painting of the Eagle Hotel won by Carl Carpenter in last season’s major raffle will be revealed. Present for the unveiling will be acclaimed artist and benefactor, Irad Ingraham. The “Eagle,” once located on the northwest corner in the center of the village of New Berlin was a major gathering place. Carl has donated the painting back to the village and arranged for the painting to hang in the NBT Bank where an Irad Ingraham painting of the original bank is also on display.
