The final week of the 2008 Evening Sun Football Contest produced the highest caliber of entries over the 10-week season.

Like eight of the previous 10 weeks, a tiebreaker decided the $25 winner with Charles McMullen of Oxford, and Norwich residents Ed Singleton, Beatrice Usher, and Stan Klockowski submitting forms with 18 of 20 right.

McMullen, known as “Chairman of the Sauna Board,” made an executive-like pick forecasting Husson to defeat Becker College with the exact 61 total points. Klockowski was the only other member of the quartet to pick Husson (41 total points).

Turning in forms with 17 perfect picks were Larry Miles, Carla Larsen, Ruth Fowlston, and George Podenak of Norwich; and Sheldon Schuman, Earlville.
