Guilford Historical Society’s announces latest publication
GUILFORD – It was announced at our annual dinner that we now have a new book written and published by author and member Helen Donahe. The book “One Room School” was donated to GHS with the proceeds to go to the restoration of the Roots Corners Schoolhouse project. The book high-lights experiences of some local residents that attended a one room school house and gives a glimpse of history and what it was like to attend back then. Enjoy the memories of Jane Stillinger, Cora Jeffreys, Gertie Pierce-Boyd, Dorothy Pfeil Hutchinson and many more. To order the book call 895-6532. It’s a delightful little book and benefits a great cause. Put “One Room School” on your Christmas gift-giving list. Call now, as copy supplies are limited.
