Throughout the month of December, Evening Sun Staff members will be visiting various charitable and non-profit agencies in Chenango County to offer a helping hand to “Deliver Christmas.”

Every year the Chenango United Way raises money to fund many non-profit organizations around Chenango County. Last year, the organization raised $488,876 and was able to fund 18 programs.

This year, the CUW has received $695,899 in requests for 22 area programs and they hope to come close to funding every one. With a goal this year of $465,000, the CUW hopes to hit its target amount and maybe even exceed it.

The Evening Sun and the rest of the companies that make up Snyder Communications wanted to help in that endeavor. Recently, I made my way to the CUW office to deliver an envelope full of donations from Snyder Communications employees.
