Oxford land group retains easement counsel
OXFORD - The Oxford Land Group has announced that T. Mary McDonald, Esq. has agreed to work with the members of the group regarding natural gas pipeline easements.
A partner in the law firm of Fix Spindelman Brovitz & Goldman, of Rochester, McDonald has represented a major natural gas company in connection with a 150 mile pipeline constructed from Grand Island (near Buffalo) to Syracuse. This representation included drafting and negotiating leases. Among other clients, she represented the Girl Scouts of Genesee Valley, Inc. in negotiating an oil and gas lease for its Steuben County property.
McDonald became a fellow in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers in 1991. She served on the Board of Governors from 2004 till 2006, and was secretary in 2006.
She has been a member of the executive committee of the New York State Bar Association Real Property Section since 1987. She chaired the 4,800 member section in 1997. McDonald was instrumental in the adoption of legislation in New York imposing monetary penalties on lenders that fail to provide mortgage documentation to borrowers.
