Peaks and Trails hosting equipment tune-up clinic
NORWICH – Peaks and Trails Ski Club will hold its annual Equipment Tune-Up Clinic on Sunday, Dec. 14 to assist local snowboarders and skiers to prepare for the winter season.
“The club has clamps to hold skis or snowboards in place while you sharpen the edges, repair scratches in the surface, and apply wax,” said club president Dan Wagner. Club members will be on hand to offer waxing instructions and to assist.
Waxing and preseason tuning can be applied to cross county skis, downhill skis, and snowboards.
Club officials stress that binding adjustments will not be part of Sunday’s clinic. “We recommend that all binding repairs and adjustments be done by factory-trained reps,” Wagner said. “In addition, this will be the final day for local boarders and skiers to register for the once-a-week and other programs at Labrador Mountain. The resort has given us special permission to offer preseason rates at this late date.”
