AFTON – Greene defeated its third Chenango County opponent in as many days, Thursday at Afton/B-G/H/S.

Patrick Kelsey won a pair of individual events for Greene, as did George Flanagan and Joe Gulat.

The Makos picked up a big win in the 200 freestyle relay edging Greene by .16 seconds. Steve Howe anchored the winning relay, and also picked up a victory in the 100-yard butterfly.

“We’re doing a lot of yardage, well over what they’re used to, and we’re shooting for sectionals,” said Makos coach Kevin Diefenbacher. “We’re getting our times down quickly.”
