Chamber celebrates 50 years with Gala
NORWICH – Commerce Chenango and M & T Bank are proud to present “Dancing Through the Decades, Celebrating 50 Years” on Jan. 17 at the Canasawacta Country Club in Norwich. The semi-formal Gala is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. with a cash bar and musician Mike O’Connor on the piano, followed by Uncle Bruce Band, featuring Bruce Beadle.
The celebration, in honor of the Chamber’s 50th Anniversary, will be offering displays of historical information and photos, a keepsake commemorative book and champagne flute, the opportunity to have a photo taken by Tom Szewezyk, Owner of Pictures with Pride as a momento, hors d’oeuvres, music and dancing.
“During the many decades of change since the inception of the Chamber in 1959, the commitment to the community has not changed, but has strengthened and grown with each year to meet the needs and challenges of our members, local residents and visitors,” says Maureen Carpenter, President & CEO. “Today, our Chamber is more than a non-profit organization; it is a business, dedicated to enhancing the quality and strength of our community.”
