National Young Scholars Emily Converse and Stefan Foster, students at the Unadilla Valley Central School in New Berlin, and Cassandra Corey, of Holy Family School in Norwich, left Friday to attend President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony tomorrow in Washington, D.C. The three were nominated National Young Scholars based on their outstanding academic achievements and leadership skills. As part of the Junior Presidential Youth Inaugural Scholar Conference, hosted by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, they also attended several events and speeches leading up to the inauguration.
