Sherburne-Earlville holds talent show Saturday
SHERBURNE – The Class of 2010 will be sponsoring a talent show at the Sherburne-Earlville high school at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Students from the middle school and high school will be showing off their talents and competing to take home a cash prize. To date, approximately 15 acts have signed up to be part of the show, which, according to middle school math teacher Danielle Goedel, will include song writers, lyrical artists, vocalists, and rock bands.
Goedel and special education teacher Laurie Doliver are the advisors for the class. Goedel explained the competition will be judged by a panel of four made up of teachers, a counselor and an administrator.
The talent show has been an annual tradition in Sherburne-Earlville since 2007. The class of 2008 first sponsored the event, which has been handed over to the class of 2010.
Goedel explained that the competition will be split into two divisions, one for middle school students and one for high school students. A winner in each category will be selected by the judges. The winners will each receive a cash prize.
“The middle school winner is returning this year to defend her title,” Goedel said. “Marissa Doing won last year and is singing again this year.”
The night is sure to be filled with fun and entertaining acts from the S-E students. “We would like to invite the community to come and enjoy this night with the talent at S-E,” Goedel said. Tickets for the show can be purchased at the door for $5 each.
