Early morning commuters were detoured following a tractor trailer accident on State Highway 12 shortly after 3 a.m. According to law enforcement officials, the vehicle jackknifed near Phetteplace Road in the Town of Oxford. The accident closed both lanes of the state road from the Halfway House Bridge south to the Rte 220 intersection in Oxford. Traffic was diverted to East River Road.
