SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville completed its first regular season sweep of Cooperstown since joining Section III's Center State Conference Monday.
The Marauders, who had just one win over Cooperstown entering the season, jumped out to a 33-20 halftime lead. Caitlynn Adams hit two three-pointers and scored 14 of her game-high 16 points. Megan Record added six points in the first quarter.
"I'm really happy with the way our offense is playing right now," said S-E coach Karen Mulligan. "We pushed the ball up the floor, and we were able to score a lot of easy baskets in transition."
Record and Bridget Irwin finished with 10 points apiece. Irwin added seven rebounds and five steals. The Marauders (6-2, 11-4) play at Otselic Valley Friday.

S-E third at CNY Tournament
VERNON – Sherburne-Earlville crowned two champions and finished third out of 18 teams at the CNY Tournament Saturday at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School.
The Marauders’ Greg DuVall (125) and Chris Pike (285) picked up title wins, while Tyi Franklin (96) and Daniel Hicks (135) posted runner-up finishes.
The Marauders were behind first-place Holland Patent and Adirondack, the two teams it lost to last week in close dual meet matchups. “We thought it would be a three-team race and we’d be in the running,” said S-E assistant coach, Brian Hicks. “It was a great tournament and great for the kids.”
The Marauders wrestle at V-V-S Wednesday night.
