McDonough Library receives gift for large print books

McDONOUGH – The McDonough Branch Library has received a $500 donation from Jim and Marilyn Palik of Paris, France. According to Oxford Memorial Library Director Nancy Wilcox, the donation will be used toward the purchase of large-print books.

“Jim and Marilyn owned a camp at Genegantslet Lake and maintain an interest in our community even though they are now living in France,” explained Wilcox. “This was a very unexpected but welcomed Christmas gift for the McDonough Branch Library.”

According to the library director, the library has already received several new large print books thanks to the donation and additional books have been ordered.
