Harpursville takes command over B-G in MAC race

Harpursville 62, B-G 41

BAINBRIDGE – Harpursville erupted early in the third quarter, and sealed a season sweep of the Bobcats – and likely secured a division title – Saturday afternoon.

Harpursville hit its first four shots in the second half, and started the quarter on a 14-1 run to move out to a 40-28 lead. Hannah Kimmel scored 12 of her game-high 20 points in the third quarter.

“They got on a good run and we went in the opposite direction,” said B-G coach Bob Conway. “We never seemed to get back on track.”

Alycia Kimmel added 16 points for Harpursville, who are unbeaten in division play and hold a two-game lead over B-G with four games left.

Dani Conway led B-G with 14 points.

SOUTH OTSELIC – Otselic Valley dropped back-to-back games Friday and Saturday falling to S-E at home on Friday, and at Poland Saturday afternoon.

S-E (12-4) had 11 points from Caitylnn Adams and 10 markers from Bridget Irwin. The Marauders led 31-6 at halftime.
