6 On The Square presents Tom Rasely and Scott B. Adams

OXFORD - By popular demand, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 6 On The Square (6OTS) welcomes back Tom Rasely and Scott B. Adams. Hear the fine, classical “finger style” playing by Tom and the hybrid of traditional finger picking by Scott. Families, Valentines, singles or even perch anglers - come on in and enjoy the dynamic duet of these gifted musicians to warm away the chill of winter.
The collective talent and experience of Tom and Scott create music that is rich and thickly textured and must be experienced in person. Their fresh arrangements of songs from the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, traditional folk songs and Adirondack camp songs; put a new spin on many old favorites.
Rasely and Adams began playing music together in 1985 in Ithaca. They started their own record label and released over a dozen albums together. Eventually they went their separate ways; however, they always remained friends and kept their musical connection. In 2007, the two seasoned guitarists joined up again and collaborated to produce, “Acoustic Intersection,” a CD collection of traditional and modern folk songs.
Sometimes they take the old, traditional music and give it a new twist, and at other times they perform the music as we remember it from our childhood. 6OTS invites you to kick back and enjoy the musical talents of this duo!
Purchase tickets on-line at the discounted price of $12, until the day of the show; $15 on the day of the show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and all ages are welcome. The refreshment counter will be open offering specially roasted 6OTS hot coffees, teas and other delicious refreshments.
Don’t miss future performances by: On Our Way Home on Feb. 21 and Beaucoup Blue on March 14. Shows are at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 PM.
