Youth Philanthropy Group helps spruce up The Place

NORWICH – On March 28, 13 students from the Youth Philanthropy Group volunteered to help staff at The Place with their on-going efforts to improve program areas by painting, constructing computer work spaces and assembling bookshelves.

Students had the opportunity to learn about the agency’s 25 year history and then broke up into project teams.

“We’re very grateful to this group for their help” commented Pennylynn Suda, Advantage After School Program Coordinator. These improvements directly support the youth who participate in the many different programs at The Place. “Their efforts have saved us at least a week of work in making this space more useful for the Teen Advantage program,” she said.
