Norwich PD to conduct training at NHS during Easter break
NORWICH –The Norwich Police Department will be conducting a training exercise today and Wednesday at Norwich High School on Midland Drive.
The training will involve several police officers from the department. It will be conducted for approximately four hours each day.
“In light of recent events, especially considering the most recent in Binghamton, we did not want to alarm the public,” said Police Chief Joseph Angelino.
The police department had this training event scheduled for weeks to take advantage of the school being empty of students during Easter break. The training evolution will involve a simulated serious incident at the high school. The majority of the training will take place inside the school building.
