Spittler, Bonnell named top athletes at S-E Invitational

SHERBURNE – Norwich shared the girls’ team title with Ilion at the S-E Invitational, and the Tornado swept the top individual track performer awards in Friday’s meet.

Sarah Bonnell won four total events taking the 100- and 200-meter dashes and long jump, while adding a leg to the winning 400-meter relay.

Steven Spittler, who claimed the top individual male performer last week at Norwich’s home meet, made it two straight top-male awards winning the 1,600- and 3,200-meter races in 4:36.7 and 10:27 respectively.

Cooperstown was an easy winner in the boys’ team scoring polling 131 points. Norwich was third with 68.

Cleo Daoud was Norwich’s other event winner grabbing the 400-meter dash. Below are results for the meet:
