MT. UPTON – New York State Troopers arrested a Florida woman in the Mt. Upton area Friday, wanted in the sunshine state for manslaughter in the death of her infant son.

Police arrested 30-year-old Christal Giachetti of Ormond Beach, Fla., on a warrant for aggravated manslaughter of a child issued by Volusia County in Deland, Fla. Giachetti was charged with aggravated manslaughter on April 6 after her four-month-old son, Trenton Giachetti, drowned in her tub.

Volusia County deputies stated that they discovered evidence of drug use, including a hypodermic needle and spoons containing a white crystal substance in the home.
