Missing Norwich girl found in New Paltz
NORWICH – Police have located a Norwich teen who has been missing since Friday in New Paltz, and are looking into pressing possible criminal charges against those who may have aided in her dissappearance.
“The disappearance is still under investigation at this time. The circumstances involved a 15-year-old girl being sustained for a period of time and if there are adults involved, they may be charged,” said Norwich Police Chief Joseph Angelino.
Norwich Police, assisted by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation of the New York State Police, located Hailey N. Wilbur at a residence in New Paltz, in Ulster County, Tuesday. Wilbur was reported missing by her mother Friday evening after she failed to return to her Town of Norwich residence after school.
Troopers and police officers returned Wilbur to the state police barracks located in Norwich, where she was reported to be in good condition.
