Police need your help in solving injured pedestrian case

NORWICH –The Norwich City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in piecing together the circumstances surrounding a motor vehicle accident that left a pedestrian injured.
Police said an unidentified woman was struck at the intersection of North Broad and Rexford Streets at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, May 21, by a tan Chevy Blazer.
The woman was taken to Chenango Memorial Hospital with a broken arm and underwent surgery. She is expected to make a full recovery.
Police are still investigating the incident and are looking for anyone who may have observed the accident. Police said other pedestrians and drivers were in the area and stopped checked on the woman’s welfare. A number of the observers however left the scene before officers had an opportunity to make contact with them.
Police would like anyone who was a witness to the accident or knows of a person who was, to call 334-2424 with any information; case number 2009-2577.
