New surgeon practicing at CMH

NORWICH – Paul Doroghazi, MD has joined Chenango Memorial Hospital’s general surgery practice and beginning in June will see patients in the general surgery office at the hospital and in the CMH Family Health Center in Sherburne. Dr. Doroghazi joins Dr. Chunjie Yang in Chenango Memorial’s general surgery department.

Dr. Doroghazi comes to Chenango Memorial Hospital from Michigan, where he had a general surgery practice in Bay City and was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a graduate of medical school at University of Chicago with post-graduate training in surgery at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee; Barnes Hospital, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri; and Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. A board certified surgeon, Dr. Doroghazi is a fellow of American College of Surgeons. Although he has practiced in his home state of Illinois as well as Michigan, Dr. Doroghazi also understands what it is like to practice in upstate New York. He had a surgery practice in Lowville in Lewis County from 1991-1999.
